Fence in the San Diego Scholastic Fencing Conference
Middle and High School Leagues for male and female athletes
The San Diego Scholastic Fencing Conference was formed as a non - profit organization in 2006 to provide an arena for youth fencing in San Diego County. It has grown steadily through the years, and fencers who have come through middle school competitions into the high school leagues are now making their mark at the US National level. A student need not attend a school with a fencing program to compete in the Conference, they will be grouped with club mates to form a composite team. Some of the best schools in the city do have organized fencing programs, including: Francis Parker, Torrey Pines, Cathedral Catholic, High Tech High, Carmel Valley Middle and Marshal Middle. The conference has had participation in past years from some great local fencing clubs, including Team Touche Fencing, Cabrillo Academy of the Sword, San Diego Fencing Center, and Encinitas Fencing Academy. These are clubs that LHFA has a healthy local rivalry with. The overall 1st place winner earns ownership of a perpetual trophy with each year's winner engraved. Help us bring the trophy to LionHeart!
